Bill Cannon: Founder Of The Antique Studebaker Club
1931 Studebaker President Roadster

The Antique Studebaker Club was founded in April 1971. It is incorporated under the laws of the State of California as a non-stock, nonprofit social and recreational club (Corporation Number 661229). It has been granted federal income tax exemption under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code 501 (c)(7). The Club is supported exclusively by membership dues, and no portion of its income is derived from public funds. The purposes of the Club are: (1) encourage and promote the acquisition, restoration, and maintenance of all Studebaker-built vehicles produced through the 1946 model year and M-Series trucks produced through the 1948 model year; and (2) to promote research and study of the history of the Studebaker Corporation and its subsidiaries as well as predecessor Companies.

The club's official publication is the Antique Studebaker Review which
is published 6 times a year during the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November. The Antique Studebaker Review features abundant photographs, restoration articles, meet reports, Studebaker history and an advertising section free to the membership. During the process of the year the club holds regional meets, tours, and other events around the country.

You've got to check this out!

I just received a note from Staffan Svensson from Sweden. He wanted to say that he has added a short clip on YouTube and wanted all the ASC members to check it out. He informed me via email that this movie was taken  in Regna – Sweden – June 2007 when fellow ASC member Mike Margerum was  there visiting. He also noted that Mike visited Staffan back in 2002 with the late Hezzy Kappus for his 50th birthday. He claims they had a great party!!!! Staffan claims he has known known Mike since 1971 as Mike was his first contact to ASC Club along with Bill Cannon. As far as the cars in the video, Staffan owns the 31 President and the 36 President is owned by Christer Karlsson. Both are members of the ASC.

Enjoy!

** The Studebaker Rockne Registry**

DO YOU HAVE A 1932 or 1933 ROCKNE or KNOW of ONE?
A Registry of Rocknes and their owners world-wide is maintained by an ASC member & Rockne owner.
Currently, about 160 "whole" Rocknes, plus remnants of others, are listed in 14 countries.
If you own, or know of, a Rockne, in whatever condition or status, the Rockne Registry wants to list it.
ASC membership certainly is encouraged, but is not required for the listing of Rocknes in the Registry--"keeping track" of as many Rocknes as possible around the world is a primary objective.

Peking to Paris Endurance Rally - September 2010
In a 1929 Studebaker President State Victoria

It all started in May 08, while relaxing at the campfire in the African bush and talking about travelling, cars and things that we would like to do. By June our entry to the 2010 Peking to Paris Rally was in and then things started moving fast.  September was the meet at Lancaster to decide which Studebaker it would be and in October we were the proud owners of a 1929 President State Victoria.
