The Southern California Chapter of the Antique Studebaker Club So Cal Chapter General Meeting July 26, 2008 South Pasadena, Ca. Chapter Meeting Minutes By Delores Starke ... Chapter Recording Secretary  Our meeting was held on Saturday, July 26th at Regina and Bill Cooley's home with 16 members and guests in attendance. Regina had fallen and broke one ankle and sprained the other so she was in bed. We really appreciate them still having the meeting at their home. Sam called the meeting to order. Old business was reported: Membership 61 Treasury report: $1660.00 New business: A motion was brought up to elect new officers but was voted against as there weren't many members present. It was suggested that we could vote by mail, but that was voted down. It was decided that not many would participate. So we decided to keep the officers in place. A motion was made to put phone numbers in the Atalanta of all the members but was decided not to as some members may not want there numbers posted. So, it was decided to just put the officers’ phone numbers in. The Show Low meet in Arizona was discussed. The Arizona Chapter has about 40 members. They would like combine with us for some events. That was voted on and passed. A motion was made to change the 2009 Zone Meet to Arizona. That was passed. Rhonda Bailey has a box of plastic badges that are not being used, so it was voted to send them to the Arizona Club as they are just getting started. A motion was made and passed to reimburse Rhonda for the postage to send them to Arizona. The new National Officers was announced. Only 61 people voted out of 1600. We discussed having more color in the Review and decided maybe in 3 issues. There are more West Coast members now. We discussed having the Quarterly Financial report in the Review but don't want to waste pages. Plans for next year: It was asked of the members if anyone had any ideas for a tour. A motion was made to appoint an Activities Chairman. Ralph was nominated and voted in. Everyone seems to want to do more small tours with just our club. La Canada has cars on display on Saturday mornings. Frank will host the Palm Springs tour and Chapter meeting again on March 12th. Everyone seems to enjoy going down there. Rick would like everyone to send in information for the Atalanta. We discussed updating the Web site and would like donations to do so. We can charge $25 a year to put business cards in the Atalanta to help defray costs. If anyone knows of any business that would be interested, please let Rick know. They will get their business card in and also receive a copy of the Atalanta. A motion was made to adjourn for lunch. We all enjoyed a pot luck lunch. Bill and Regina supplied the main dish and the members brought side dishes.  Bruce brought a killer chocolate cake (Roy made me put that in). Chapter Meeting Pictures
