The Southern California Chapter of the Antique Studebaker Club

So Cal Chapter General Meeting and Tour
June 11, 2005
Zubies Dry Dock Restaurant in Huntington Beach

The So Cal Chapter meeting was held on Saturday, June 11 at Zubies Dry Dock Restaurant in Huntington Beach. We all enjoyed a great lunch and then at 12:00pm Rhonda Bailey called the Meeting to order.
We had our meeting and election of officers. A few changes happened.
Sam bailey was nominated and elected as the new Dictator. Neil Maken stayed on as Commander (Vice-President and Editor). The same held true for Norm Adams that has been doing a fantastic job as Secretary/Treasurer. Bill Cooley took over the "job" as the Los Angeles area Champion.
Two brand new positions were also filled. Rick Andersen of Napa, California became the new Champion for Northern California, including Sacramento and the bay area. Dick Clemens excepted the position of Liaison in Arkansas.
At about 1 PM we all left for a driving tour to Costa Mesa to this fellow’s home where we will walked to the several   locations on his street where he has his cars stored. Most of his cars are post-war but unbelievable nevertheless. He has a very large collection of bullet-nosed Studebakers, including about five convertibles, one with 20,000 actual miles on it. The sharp-eyed members did find one pre-war Studebaker amongst all the post-war cars.
A really nice and freshly painted 1941 Commander Club Sedan.
The group had a wonderful time checking out all the cars and parts. Below are a few pictures of the Tour.
We will be looking forward to seeing you at the next Meeting.
