The First Meeting Minutes
March 1, 2008

On Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 1:20 pm at the home of Kathy and Bob Herceg in Arizona City, the first meeting
of the Arizona State Chapter/Antique Studebaker Club (ASC/ASC) was held. President Malcolm
Stinson presented everyone
 with copies of the by-laws that he has written and asked everyone to please
read and decide if changes should be made.
 Discussions were held regarding wording of Article
3:Members #3, at issue was the wording "for any good cause" in regards
to termination of a member. No resolution was decided upon. Maggie Wheeler made a motion that dues be set at $15.00 per year
 to get our
treasury started and that dues be prorated with a starting date of April 1, 2008 if charter is approved.
 Bob Herceg seconded this motion and was passed by majority.

It was noted that the office of Vice-President was omitted on the list of officers in the By-Laws. This was to be changed, It was
further decided that the vice-president's role will also include that of tour master.
The board meetings will be held prior to the chapter meetings.

Discussion of places to hold future meetings and outings was held with Malcolm offering his home for a June weekend. Also discussed were the following locations, Tombstone, Williams and Grand Canyon, Cottonwood and Grand Canyon Caverns.

The next meeting of the ASC/ASC will be held on April 26, 2008 at the home of Kathy and Bob Herceg in Arizona City, 1:00 p.m. It will be a pot-luck. Please email or call Maggie Wheeler with your dish of choice. Fred Gooch suggested we hold an auction at our next meeting. Fred suggested we bring Studebaker or related objects to be auctioned with proceeds going toward our treasury.

Curtis and Carol Lee donated $100.00 towards our treasury.

A motion was made, seconded and passed that we adjourn the meeting at 2:45 p.m.

TREASURER'S REPORT

$150.00 was received from the 10 members attending the meeting on March 1. We also received a $100.00 donation from Curtis and Carol Lee. I have since received a check from John Agee for $100.00 donation. So right now we have a total of $350.00.
